Spring wishlist

I often find myself caught up in online window shopping, looking at the time, and realizing 3 hours have passed. So I figured it was time to share another of my wishlists! These posts are fun to round up all of the things I've been wanting. I never really end up getting any of them, but it's fun to wish for!

I've decided I'm going to be a skirt type of girl this Summer so I've been eying a ton from Forever 21!
I tried out this Tarte Smooth Operator Powder from a Tarte gift set and I loved it! I've been dreaming of the full-sized ever since.
I would love to get my hands on some black Nikes. I feel like they would match a lot ore and be more subtle than my bright blue ones.
These tan sandals from Forever 21 caught my eye and I've been creating endless outfits with them in my head.
I feel like a black North Face jacket would be a great staple in my wardrobe for colder, casual days.
I am actually kind of in need (want) of a new bathing suit! This one from, you guessed it, Forever 21 is super cute!
And lastly this Kate Spade bag has my name on it... literally! This is the Cobble Hill Small Ella and I am completely in love!

That's all for my current wishlist of the season, what's on your wishlist?

Mani Monday: Spring manicure

I recently painted my nails and it soon became my favorite Spring mani! I received many compliments while wearing it and I had to share it with you! It's perfect for Spring with the lilac and the silver glitter. it looked like a gel polish manicure and I'm obsessed with it!

I used Essie's under wear? on all nails minus my ring fingers. For the ring fingers, I first used Sally Hansen's Insta-Dri Silver Sweep, topped with Essie's set in stones. I think this combination went together flawlessly.

I was surprised at how long this lasted. My manicures usually last around 1-2 days without chips. This one lasted around 4-5!

Lilac is my new favorite color and I love incorporating it into everything!

Baby Lips Limited Edition Buds

So, I was shopping at Walmart the other day, and I came across a new Baby Lips display! Of course, I could not pass it up. When I scanned it, it only came up as $6 so that gave me even more reason to buy it. The whole display only had this 1 set with 2 limited edition spring shades. i really like them both and I really wanted to share them with you. I would definitely recommend checking your local Walmart or drugstore to try to find these.

The packaging is amazing! The colors are all so Spring-like and they go together perfectly.

The two shades are Oh Orchid! and Petal Rebel.

Oh Orchid! is more of a purple toned pink and Petal Rebel had a coral tone to it. I prefer Petal Rebel sine it's more wearable for me.

I found these to be just as moisturizing and regular Baby Lips. I've noticed all of the new Baby Lips have way less scent. These a have a slight sweet scent but it's not really noticeable.

Swatched, Oh Orchid! on the left, and Petal Rebel on the right.

 Oh Orchid!

Petal Rebel

I really love both shades and can see myself getting lots of use out of them this Spring!

RATINGS:

Color payoff: 9/10 pretty good for sheer balms
Moisture: 9/10
Price: 9/10
Lasting Power: 8/10
Scent: 7/10
Would I repurchase?: Yes!
Would I recommend?: For sure!
Overall: 9/10

Have you seen these around yet?

Spring makeup tutorial

I feel like it's been ages since I did my last tutorial! I was looking back, and I realized my last tutorial was in only in February. Never the less, I thought I'd share another one! Since we are getting deeper into Spring, I wanted to share a themed tutorial. I love Spring makeup! It's so bright and fresh. For this look, I went for a light lilac mixed with a bright teal and I love how it turned out!
Enjoy :)

1st thing I do in most of my daily makeup looks is apply a light shimmery shade all over the lids. It works as a base for the rest of the shadows and brightens up the eyes.

For the lids, I used a very pale and slightly sheer lilac shadow. This adds a really subtle pop of color which is great for spring.

To add depth, I blended a few different soft brown shades into the crease.

Something I think adds a lo to the look, is adding a bright, shimmery white in the inner corner. it pulls all the shades together nicely.

For a brighter pop of color, I used a teal liner on the lower lash line. This also makes the look slightly more dramatic!

And that's the look. As you can see in the photo above, I actually added a bit of s copper cream shadow on the upper outer corner.

I hope you enjoyed this Spring tutorial and I'd love it if you tried it out! Comment any questions you have, I always read them :)

Weekend Project #4 DIY Heart canvas

I wasn't really planning on doing a Valentine's Day themed post this year. I didn't really want to do food again, since I did that last year. However, I stumbled upon this DIY canvas on Pinterest and knew I had to make it! This isn't only perfect for Valentine's Day, you could have it up year round. It's so simple and fun to make!

Materials:

Canvas of choice size
Various sized branches
Paint brushes
Paint of choice
Hot glue gun & glue

1. Paint your canvas your color of choice! I chose this pale pink paint by craft smart.

2. Cut your twigs according to the shape. I did a heart, but you could really do any shape!

3. When the canvas is completely dry, glue down the twigs in your desired shape with the hot glue.

5. Let it dry and you're done!

6. I chose to paint the edges as well, as I find it looks a bit cleaner.

I love the 3D look of this canvas!

Alright, That's about it. I hope you try this out & let me know if you do! :)
