Maybelline Lash Sensational ~ Review

I am more than excited to review this mascara because it has created a new level of lash perfection. A friend of mine recommended this to me after saying it was ever better than the Benefit Roller Lash mascara, which I have never tried. It was only $6 at Walmart! I usually really like Maybelline mascaras and this one tops them all.

I love the color of the packaging, it's the same as Too Faced's Better Than Sex mascara.

It claims to have full fan effect volume and it definitely does!

The brush has very tiny, plastic bristles. It's similar to the Rocket however this brush is curved. One layer of this mascara gives a nice coat of length and volume. Two layers takes you from day wear to full on GLAM, I love it! It's not too difficult to remove but it takes a pretty much a full face wipe. It separates the lashes so nicely and doesn't clump a bit! It also lasts all day without one single flake!

RATINGS

Packaging: 9/10
Volume: 10/10
Length: 10/10
Lasting power/wear: 9/10
Price: 9/10
Would I repurchase?: YES!
Would I recommend?: If you like what you see down below.
Overall: 9.5/10 (I must really love it!)

Prepare yourself for many eye photos!

My hair decided to photo bomb this one but I still liked it.

This mascara is one of my new top faves! It gives a TON of volume and length without clumps or making me look like I have 4, maybe 5 eyelashes. This is the best I've ever seen my eyelashes look.
Have you tried this?

Maybelline Mega Plush Mascara

I usually really like Maybelline mascaras, and I had heard positive thing about this one in the past so I thought I'd give it a go while searching for a new mascara. It was fairly popular a year or two ago but I haven't heard much about it recently. It claims to give good volume which gave me even more reason to try it out!

Of course, I had to choose the darkest shade!

The brush is quite large and bulky. After the first coat, I noticed my lashes looked very natural and had little volume. This takes quite a few coats to build up volume and even after that, it isn't super dramatic. it gives a nice look to your lashes, but I wouldn't say it a adds a ton of volume.
This just didn't give me the look I desired for my lashes. It wasn't a bad mascara, just not for me!

RATINGS

Volume: 7/10
Price: 9/10
Length: 8/10
Lasting power: 8/10
Removal: 8/10
Would I repurchase?: No
Would I recommend?: If it seems like your type of mascara
Overall: 8/10

In the end, this wasn't a favorite of mine and I wouldn't go back to it.

Baby Lips Limited Edition Buds

So, I was shopping at Walmart the other day, and I came across a new Baby Lips display! Of course, I could not pass it up. When I scanned it, it only came up as $6 so that gave me even more reason to buy it. The whole display only had this 1 set with 2 limited edition spring shades. i really like them both and I really wanted to share them with you. I would definitely recommend checking your local Walmart or drugstore to try to find these.

The packaging is amazing! The colors are all so Spring-like and they go together perfectly.

The two shades are Oh Orchid! and Petal Rebel.

Oh Orchid! is more of a purple toned pink and Petal Rebel had a coral tone to it. I prefer Petal Rebel sine it's more wearable for me.

I found these to be just as moisturizing and regular Baby Lips. I've noticed all of the new Baby Lips have way less scent. These a have a slight sweet scent but it's not really noticeable.

Swatched, Oh Orchid! on the left, and Petal Rebel on the right.

 Oh Orchid!

Petal Rebel

I really love both shades and can see myself getting lots of use out of them this Spring!

RATINGS:

Color payoff: 9/10 pretty good for sheer balms
Moisture: 9/10
Price: 9/10
Lasting Power: 8/10
Scent: 7/10
Would I repurchase?: Yes!
Would I recommend?: For sure!
Overall: 9/10

Have you seen these around yet?

Maybelline The Falsies Flared ~ Review

I have been meaning to review this for quite some time now. I've always heard good things about this mascara, however whenever I buy mascara, it always slips my mind. One of my friends gave this to me for Christmas and I was so excited to finally try it and I'm so glad I did. I believe this mascara is only around $6 at the drugstore, so it's very affordable.

I can definitely see this becoming my new favorite mascara. I can honestly say I love it as much as Lancome's Hypnose Drama which I love to death! I'm not very willing to shell out $30 for a mascara that will maybe last me 3 months so finding a great drugstore mascara is a steal!

As you can see, the brush is slightly curved, making it easy to apply the mascara to all of the lashes. With one coat, I noticed lots of length, separation and slight volume. Two coats definitely pumped up the volume a ton and with three coats, my lashes were super dramatic. For everyday wear, I usually go for two coats. I prefer to wiggle the brush through my lashes to prevent clumping and promote separation. This mascara also wears really well. When I apply in the morning, it looks great. By the end of the day it's not perfect, but it's close. It never smudged on me but most mascaras don't. The mascara is slightly difficult to remove, but not too much of a struggle. I've tried mascara harder to remove.

Okay, I have a lot to say about this photo. First of all, I'm not 100% sure I'm wearing the Falsies mascara in this photo. Since I forgot to take a photo of my lashes for this post, I went back to see if I had any. I take a ton of photos but this was the one that looks most similar to my lashes in the Falsies. Second, this was before I got my brows waxed, hence the cropping. Third, my eyes look kind of weird. The photo is on an angle making it look messed up. I so wish I had gotten a photo of my lashes! Anyways, this is what my lashes usually look like in this mascara.

OVERALL:

Price: 9/10
Volume: 9/10
Length: 9/10
Wear: 9/10
Removal: 7/10
Would I repurchase?: YES
Would I recommend?: For sure!
Overall: 9/10

See you next time!

Blogmas 2014: Day 4 ~ Baby Lips limited edition duo Review

Recently while at Walmart I came a across a ton of limited edition holiday Baby Lips! I'm always up for trying some new lip balms to I had to get them. Most of the them were in duos with a crystal Baby Lips and this was the only one with 2 limited edition shades. I can't quite remember but I believe the set was $7.

The shades are Winter Flush and Ruby Star so I'm assuming they are limited edition for the holidays.

The packaging seems a bit cheaper than usual. There is also a faint swirl pattern with some shimmer on the tube. Both of the new colors are reds. Winter Flush is more of a orange-y red and Ruby Star is a deeper berry red. They are both quit pigmented.

The one thing that disappointed me was that there wasn't much scent. That's one of the many things I love about Baby Lips and I couldn't even smell anything.

Overall:

Color payoff: 9/10 (in terms of tinted lip balm)
Lasting power: 8/10
Packaging: 8/10
Price: 8/10
Would I repurchase?: Is that even a question, hehe
Would I recommend?: yes!
Overall: 8/10

I was super happy to see new limited edition shades! Let me know if you've seen any other shades.

Maybelline Brow Drama ~ Review

So recently I posted a "new at the drugstore" and I included the new Brow drama by Maybelline. I've had the time to try it out and today I'm reviewing it! I found it at Walmart for $9.99 and there were 3 shades.

It came in dark brown, blonde and soft brown. I chose soft brown and I find that it matches my medium brown hair perfectly!

The packaging is extremely similar to their great lash mascaras except the Brow drama has a sleek black tube.

This is the first product of it's type that I've seen at the drugstore. It reminds me of Benefit's Gimme Brow, although I've never tried that.  The wand it straight with a round ball at the tip.

The tinted brow gel is easily brushed through the brows and after a few strokes, my brows were noticeably darker and less sparse. This products gives the brows a natural look while still slightly filling them in. Not only does this fill in your brows, it also sets them in place and lasts all day.

OVERALL:
Packaging: 8/10
Lasting power: 10/10
Color payoff: 8.5/10 natural
Price: 9/10
Would I repurchase?: Yes!
Would I recommend?: For sure!
Overall rating: 9/10

I hope this review was helpful!

Maybelline FIT me! Powder ~ Review

After hitting pan on my Rimmel Stay Matte and tossing that in my purse, I decided to try a new powder. I had heard good things about Fit me by Maybelline and I also really love their concealer so I gave it a go! It was around $6 so that's a plus too!

Inside, the powder tray is actually round despite the fact that the packaging makes it appear square. It's a bit smaller than your average powder.

It also comes with a powder puff applicator and a mirror below the compact. This is the reason for the bulky packaging.

The powder lasts on me a bit longer than the Stay Matte powder did. It feels nice on my face, it looks a very little bit heavy but it's not too noticeable. It lasts around 4 hours on me.

I'm in the shade 115 Ivory and it matches me well!

OVERALL:

Coverage: fairly average, not much
Lasting power: 7/10 powder never lasts long on me
How well it lays on the skin: 7/10
Price: 9/10
Would I repurchase?: possibly
Would I recommend?: yeah!
Overall: 7.5/10

That's all! I hope this was helpful! :)

Maybelline FIT Me Concealer ~ Review

Hello again!
I have had a lot of things on my mind today so I thought I'd take a break and Blog! Today's post is on my current favorite concealer, Maybelline's FIT Me! I've been using it for a month or two now and loving it! It super affordable, I believe I found it for around $5! There aren't many shades, but Fair (the lightest shade) matches me alright.

My tube is a little worn down as I use it everyday! The packaging is pretty simple and I like it.

This concealer is super creamy and lightweight. I use it to conceal dark circles and it works wonders! It covers them completely and lightens my under eyes! It blends really easily and doesn't appear "cakey". I really like it and it's looks flawless when set with a powder.

It doesn't last forever, but it lasts a good few hours. I think it's a great product especially for the price and I would definitely repurchase this!

OVERALL:

Coverage: 9/10
Price: 10/10
Packaging: Average
Blendability: 9/10
Lasting Power: 7.5/10
Would I repurchase?: YES
Would I recommend?: For sure!
Overall: 9/10

It has a simple doe foot applicator and I usually place a few dots under my eyes closer to the inner corner. I love this concealer and use it daily!

I hope this helps, Bye!
