What's in my carry-on

So as I said, I recently traveled (which I love) and I wanted to share what I brought in my carry-on bag. I didn't get a picture of the actual bag so here is link to the same bag in a different color.

First I need my iPad. I had a lot of fun taking time lapses of the take-off and landings! Along with that I brought my charger and my headphones. All of my music was on my phone which I brought as well!

Of course I had to bring snacks. I had lots more but I ate a lot of it already. Gum is a must and cough drops too since I was sick on my trip, sadly.

I always like bringing a journal to document my trip. I need my wallet of course. A pen for my journal, some sunnies and lip balm too (super essential)!

I really needed tissues (since I was sick). Lotion is a must for the dry plane atmosphere. Hand sanitizer too since planes can be full of germs. I brought blotting papers but never ended up using them. I did use my scrunchie and mini hair brush however!

Lastly, I brought a light hoodie which was great since the plane was FREEZING!

That's all that's in my carry-on, what's in yours!

Travel makeup bag

I think I'm going to be sharing a ton of travel posts in the next little while! I'm going to be traveling a little bit pretty soon so I figured I'd share all about it! I always switch up what's in my travel makeup bag so I find it fun to share! I shared this post last summer and it has changed a bit so I'm sharing my updated bag!

The makeup bag is from a Tarte set I received for Christmas. it's absolutely perfect  for travel since it's the perfect size and easy to wipe down if it gets messy!

First off: Face products!
I like to bring my First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Face Moisturizer. It soaks in super fast saving a bit of time!
For foundation, I have to bring my holy grail, Covergirl's 3 in 1 along with my knockoff beauty sponge!
I prefer to limit it to 1 of each product but I feel the end to take 2 concealers. The FIT me one is super light and great for under eyes while Glamofluage is heavier and covers blemishes better.
I chose to bring my mini smashbox primer since it's so tiny and could be useful for long travel days or nights out.
Of course, I've gotta bring my Rimmel Stay Matte with my angled kabuki!
In case I'm looking to add a bit of color, I'll bring my Too Faced bronzer and Real Techniques powder brush.

Next up: Eyes!
I've always gotta bring my NAKED 2 palette! It's so versatile and comes in handy when traveling. For brushes, I brought a couple of Forever 21 eye brushes and a brow comb.
I bring one brow product, the brow drama by Maybelline. It adds like color and sets them in place.
Not sure why but I threw in my elf brow gel, but I don't think I meant to do that ;)
In case I'm looking for soem drama, I bring my felt liner by Maybelline.
I also threw in an elf eye primer for the shadows to last.
And of course, I like to bring a deluxe sample sized mascara.

To finish off, I tossed in 2 lip options. A bright gloss and nude balm as well as a clear lip balm. And for tying my hair back a like to bring a scrunchie.

Happy traveling!

Perfect party essentials ~ Night out clutch

You always need a clutch or bag on your night out to carry all of your essentials. Whenever I pack my purse, I never know what to put in it. Here are some essentials for going out!

1. FACE POWDER to reduce shine

2. LOTION for dry hands

3. HAIR BRUSH & MIRROR for tangles & touch-ups

3. HAIR TIES for getting it out of your face

4. NAIL FILE for that pesky hang nail

5. PERFUME to smell great all night

6. BOBBY PINS for the fly aways

7. LIP COLOR to touch up

8. STAIN REMOVER for that 1 mishap

If you can fit it, I highly suggest bringing along a minimergency kit! It has everything from a sewing kit to polish remover. Since the little case is too boxy, I usually  just take everything out and slip it into my clutch.

These would work from Prom, parties and even just dinner!

What's in my travel makeup bag?!

I don't plan on traveling anytime soon, but when I recently took a little vacation, I realized what I used and what I didn't from my makeup bag. Next time I do travel I will be packing less makeup since there were a few things I didn't even end up touching. Here's the basics and the stuff I do use while traveling.

This is the only makeup bag I have that fits my palette. It came with the eva nyc hair care travel kit that I picked up on sale at Urban Outfitters. It's great because it won't get ruined if something spills, and it's quite spacious.

THE "MULTIPURPOSE" PRODUCTS

I like to take products that have multiple products in one and can be used for different things. This elf eyebrow kit includes a brow gel, a powder and even a double sided brush. It's super compact and great for saving space and packing light. Plus it's only $3, bonus!
The L'Oreal Color Riche Balms are tinted balms with SPF. It will protect your lips from the sun while giving a sheer color. It can also double up as a cream blush!
I'm obsessed with he Naked 2 palette! It has every neutral color I could ever need. It also comes with a brush and a mirror so I'm all set.

THE "EVERY OCCASION" PRODUCTS

I also like to take products that will work for any event or activity! Versatile products are great for on the go especially on vacation. You never know where you'll end up!
The Maybelline master precise felt eyeliner is great for thin, thick, winged any type of eyeliner! I love eyeliner and this one's my fave!
I brought along a mini Urban Decay primer potion which is great for the beach or a long, hot day!
The Too Faced waterproof eyeliner is great for any occasion you don't want smudged makeup. It's also great for everyday use since it's not too difficult to remove.
Any Nude gloss is great. They go with any outfit and are just really versatile.

ESSENTIALS & "THE REST"

The rest of the products are the basics that I use nearly every day.
I've gotta have my powder, my foundation and a couple of concealers. I like to have a concealer for under eyes and one for blemishes. If you can find one that works for both that's even better!
I also bring a couple of different mascara for different looks.
And lastly, I've got a mini Benefit cream shadow in a neutral color.

BRUSHES

Last thing is brushes. I don't take many, I could probably even cut this in half but I bring 'em anyways. First, a spooley for my brows. I also take a regular shadow brush, and angled brush, a couple of blending brushes and a small stippling brush for concealer.
Plus I need my kabuki for my face powder!

That pretty much sums up what's in my travel makeup bag!
I hope you enjoyed and have an amazing day! :)

Beach Day Essentials

Hello There!
I am so happy that it's finally July! Yesterday I kicked off the first of July (and Canada Day!) by going boating with some friends. It was the most fun I had had in a long time! It's also been getting super hot here which I'm loving! Well, not super hot, but hot for where I live! Anyways, I have a lot of fun, summer-themed posts planned for July and I thought I'd start it all off with a "What's in my Beach Bag"! It seemed perfect since I just went to the beach yesterday!
Happy July & Enjoy!

First off sun protection! Sun protection is a must, especially if you're planning a whole day at the beach or outside. I apply sunscreen in the morning and then bring a mini sunscreen just to re-apply. I also bring after-sun lotion. This one by Hawaiian Tropic smells AMAZING! And of course, sunglasses because the sun in your eyes is not fun.

I always bring water to hydrate throughout the day. I also pack a few snacks or lunch to keep my going! Various hair items are essential for me too! I like to bring headphones to relax and listen to music and I bring lip balm everywhere!

I only bring 3 main makeup items in case I go out after the beach or pool. Mascara, brow pencil, and eyeliner! Body mist is great for a refreshing scent. I hate when my hands get dry after coming out of the water so I like to bring along a lotion. I like to pack blotting sheets too instead of face powder!

An obvious one is a swimsuit! I usually wear mine there but I thought I'd show it anyway! I also bring a towel to lie on and dry off with.

I like bringing a cover-up of some sort, such as a romper or sundress. It's just easy to throw on and go!
That's about all I bring!
Bye :)

What's in my summer bag?

As you can probably tell, I'm unusually excited for summer this year! I've planned a ton of summer themed posts and I can't wait to get them all up. I plan on accomplishing a ton this summer and taking tons of photos to share! I posted my Bag Essentials around this time last year, and although not much has changed, I thought I share what's in my summer bag anyways! I don't carry a lot in the summer, as a like my bag to be fairly lightweight. Also a cross-body is a must for summer traveling & shopping!

Starting off with my purse, it's a back cross-body from Call it Spring. It has a front pocket, a back pocket, and a main pocket. It matches everything but doesn't fit a lot. It is very slim and I am currently searching for a more flexible bag that can hold a bit more. In the front pocket, I keep my phone but I didn't photograph that.

It looks a bit tacky, but I've got a mini PocketBac just in case! Sometimes when I'm eating out I can't find a place to wash my hands so this is my last resort. Always a good thing to have on hand.

In the back pocket, I keep some tissues just in case! Same package as last years, I just refill it!

The inside has a cute black and white polka dot pattern.

Of course, you've gotta keep gum, in case you need to freshen up! Also a mini perfume to touch up. And my nails constantly break and I can't stand it so a nail file is a must for me.

I've got a compact mirror for emergency touch ups, and some hand cream for when my hands get dry.

I've got a Minimergency kit which has everything from stain remover, to a sewing kit, to hairspray, it's a lifesaver! I've also got a pen, just in case!

Lastly, I've got my wallet and sunnies! I really need a new wallet. I've been searching for on for over a year and I can't find the one for me! These sunnies from Target are my favorite! I love 'em!

I also keep a lip balm but other than that, that's all that's in my summer bag!
I hope you enjoyed, catch you on Tuesday! (hint, bronze up for summer ;)
Bye :)

My bag essentials

Hello! Sorry for the lack of posts.
Today I'm doing a what's in my bag!
I never really use the same bag, I'm always back and forth. I need a new bag anyways so that's why the bag isn't shown.
If I have a large bag I do like to fill it with unnecessary things, but I usually just bring a small one and this is what I'd pack.
Here I have my wallet, sunglasses, paper, Kleenex, and a few makeup products.
My sunglasses are from target and I just have a bath and body works tangerine hand sanitizer. I love bringing hand sanitizer in case I eat or just need clean hands. And of course, my sunglasses are in case the sun is in my eyes, or just to hide my face!
I have this little paper and pen set in case I need to write a list or remember something, and I have tissues for the obvious.
I don't like keeping too much makeup in my bag because I don't find myself touching up very often. All I keep are a few lip products and concealer. I have here and eos lip balm, nyx gloss, covergirl concealer, and L'Oreal color riche balm.
That concludes my bag essentials!
Sorry for the change of backgrounds. I am still experimenting with what I like best. I was also playing with the lighting in these photos.
