Blogmas 2014: Day 14 ~ The Christmas TAG!

 I'm having a bit of a "lazy Sunday" so I thought, what better post to do than a simple TAG! Christmas themed of course! I found lots of versions of the Christmas TAG so I just picked this one and decided to go with it! Enjoy :)

1. Do you like to stay in your PJ’s, or dress up for Christmas?
 Definitely stay in my PJ's! All I do is lounge around the house and eat yummy food anyways!

2. If you could only buy one person a present this year, who would it be?
 That's a really tough choice since I have so much fun buying for everyone on my list. I'd probably have to say my Mum since she's done so much for me this year!

3. Do you open your presents Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?
We open one on Christmas eve (which is always pajamas!) and save the rest for Christmas morning.

4. Have you ever built a Gingerbread house?
 For sure! I used to build one every year but haven't done it in a while.

5. What do you like to do on your Christmas break?
 Spend time with family, eat good food and do a bit of Boxing Day shopping!

6. What’s your favorite Christmas meal or treat?
 This is such a hard one! I love our Christmas eve dinner which is a buffet type of thing and I also love the nanaimo bars my Mum makes for the holidays.

 7. What’s your favorite holiday movie?
 I have to be typical and say elf because it truly is my favorite movie! Home alone was one of my old favorites as well.

8. Candy Canes or Gingerbread Men?
 I'm not a huge fan of Gingerbread (*gasp*) so I'd have to say Candy Canes.

9. Have you ever made a snowman?
 Yes! It's a white Christmas every year here so of course! I haven't made one in quite a few years though.

10. Which do you like better, Christmas Eve or Christmas Day?
 Probably Christmas eve since the excitement leading up to Christmas is the fun part!

11. White lights, or colored lights?
 I love both but personally white lights for my house. Although I have seen many gorgeous colored lights this year which make me pretty jealous!

Beauty Confessions!

I think we all do some things we're not proud of when it comes to beauty and what not. There's endless things that I do (or don't do) due to laziness or habit. I wouldn't exactly call this a "tag", in fact  have no idea what I'd call this. Anyways, here are my beauty confession! (sounds so dramatic!)

I don't throw out mascara every 3 months. I usually forget when I bought it and end up using it for 6-10 months, bad, I know. This leads me to the next one, I hate repurchasing products. When I run out of foundation or mascara etc. I hate repurchasing it. It just seems so boring like repurchasing deodorant. Maybe that's just me? It almost seems like a waste of money even though I know I'll get lots of use out of it!

I'm often too lazy to pluck my brows. I usually end up plucking them every 1-2 weeks, usually closer to 2 weeks. 

I don't wash my makeup brushes as often as I should. I probably wash them once a month, possibly every 2 months...? I know it's bad but it's an ongoing battle deciding if I should or not. I don't have a major amount of brushes but I have enough where it takes up a good chunk of time.

I rarely reapply my makeup throughout the day. My makeup tends to wear off after a few hours but I never seem to touch up. Even if I'm looking totally shiny it never crosses my mind to reapply powder & such.

I never wash my face twice a day. I only wash it in the shower in the evenings. I probably should wash it in the morning, but laziness rules.

I don't get haircuts very often, I usually just let it grow. I kind of just forget about my split ends.

I only shave my legs every 2 or 3 days. It's even worse in the winter! 

I pick my mascara off of my eyelashes. I cringe every time I think about it. I can't seem to stop and it's bad, ugh!

Those are all of my confessions. I encourage all of you to do this as well and get these of your chests, haha! Again with the over dramatic tone. Anyways, I hope this was enjoyable & have an amazing day!

Beauty Scenario TAG

 Hello again!

Today I thought I'd do a TAG that has been going around recently, the Beauty Scenario TAG! I wasn't tagged by anyone that I know of, but I find it fun to do these TAGs anyways! So here it goes!

 1. You have to get rid of all your foundations and you can only keep one high end and one drugstore, which do you keep?

I actually have never owned a high-end foundation, *cringe* so I'll just go with the drugstore. I would definitely keep the Covergirl 3 in 1 foundation. It has great coverage and it's an all-around great product!

2. You go for an interview and the lady interviewing you has lipstick on her teeth. Do you approach the subject or ignore it completely?

I would feel bad not saying anything, but I probably wouldn't anyways. Being the shy person I am, I'd probably be too nervous to say anything.

3. You’re not feeling yourself and need a pick me up. Which lipstick do you put on to make yourself feel beautiful?

It's not exactly a lipstick, but definitely the NYX Soft Matte Lip cream in Addis Ababa. It's such a bright and vibrant color and it's super fun!

4. You go back in time for a day, how would you do your hair and makeup differently?

I would probably wouldn't change too much, other than maybe not bring my eyeshadow up so high. I used to blend it past the crease!

5. You ask your hairdresser for a shoulder length Pixie Lott hair cut, but they hear wrong and give you a pixi cut. Do you a) Smile, say thank you, leave and call your mum hysterical b) Cry in the chair and things get awkward or c) Complain to the manager and demand a refund.

I really hope I never have to experience this, but probably B and C. I can't see myself (willingly) paying for the wrong haircut!

6. Your friend surprises you with a 4 day city break and you have 1 hour to pack. Which ‘do it all’ palette do you pack in your makeup bag?

On the other hand, I wouldn't kind experiencing this! I'd have to go with my Naked 2 palette. Kind of a typical answer but it has everything I could need, eyeshadow wise!

7. Your house has been robbed, don’t worry everyone is safe, but your beauty stash has been raided. What’s the product you really hope is safe?

Makeup is super hard to replace so I would want all of it to be safe, but if I had to choose 1 (or 4) things to be safe, hmm. I couldn't choose just 1 so I chose my Urban Decay deluxe shadow box, Too Faced bronzer, Too Faced lip gloss and The Naked 2 palette again! I found the deluxe shadow box on boxing day for $12 and I believe it was limited edition! I'm obsessed with my Too Faced bronzer as well! I got the Too Faced gloss I own in a limited edition kit and I don't think it's sold separately. The Naked 2 palette is another favorite of mine and it was a gift!

8. Your friend borrows your makeup and returns it in awful condition. Do you a) Just pretend you haven’t noticed b) Ask them to repurchase it or c) Secretly do the same to something of theirs

I probably wouldn't lend out my makeup in the first place, but if this did happen, I'd either pretend I hadn't noticed or I'd jokingly call them out on it. I also wouldn't let them borrow again!

 Hey there! I've seen a few of these tags going around in the past year or so and it seems really fun so I thought I'd try it out today. I wasn't actually tagged by anyone but I still wanted to do it!

 1.Name a beauty regimen that you rarely do?
I rarely blow dry my hair. I honestly only do it a few times a year! It takes so much effort with my long, thick and it usually end up taking about 30 minutes. I would much rather let my hair air-dry.

 2. Is washing your makeup brushes something you do regularly?
Sort of. I wash my brushes about every 2 weeks unless I'm really lazy. Sometimes I just spot clean and don't wash them for a month (Bad, I know)!

3. How long will you last with chipped nail polish?
It depends. Usually around 4-7 days, but sometimes I'll give up and leave them chipped for nearly 2 weeks!

 

  

4. How long do you put off buying/replacing a beauty or nail polish product even if you need it?

A while! I don't repurchase until I'm absolutely desperate! I usually buy a ton of impulse buys and completely forget I'm out of something until I have none left.
Like my face powder for instance. I've needed a new one for months now and I still haven't bought one.

5. What is your worst beauty habit?
Definitely picking at my mascara. It's a really bad habit, and I know I need to stop, but I still find myself doing it daily, ugh!

 6. Name something non-beauty related that you put off doing all the time?
Working out & any work I need to get done. I've been really into procrastination lately...

7. When going out somewhere, do you leave getting ready until the last minute or not?
Usually. Sometimes if I'm going somewhere really important I'll be proactive, but if I just have small plans, I'm usually struggling to get myself together!

8. Can you commit to spending bans?
I can actually! Finally a question I'm proud to answer! I often like to save up for a big purchase and sometimes when I realize how much makeup I have, I cut down of the spending for a while. It helps me to keep my money in a jar and tell myself not to use any of my cards.

9. How organized is your makeup and nail polish collection?
It's actually really organized. I really enjoy organizing everything in my home and I'm constantly changing the setup of everything. Although at the moment my makeup drawers are overflowing so I'm currently thinking about how I could organize better. I keep my makeup in separate little trays and store my nail polish on a DIY stand.

10. What is the longest amount of time you have gone without writing a blog post?
I don't remember exactly, but probably around 2 weeks. I remember there were a few months last year I wasn't that into it, but now I totally am!

I don't drink, but I'd have to say pasta and a good book. There's just something about cuddling up with a blanket and good book that makes me feel great!
