Blogmas 2014: Day 23 ~ Vanilla Bean Noel Ultra Shea Body Cream & Fine Frgrance Mist

Christmas-time is my favorite time of the year for endless reasons, and Bath & Body Works' Vanilla Bean Noel scent is one of them! I purchase something of this scent every year. I've loved it for as long as I can remember. Bath & Body Works often carries very perfume-y scents which often give me headaches. Vanilla Bean Noel is different in the sense that it's less harsh and simply sweet!

I bought the spray a year or two ago, so it's still he old packaging. I picked up the 21 hour Ultra Shea Body Cream this year as well as the Deep Cleansing Hand Soap. These all have the same classic scent that I love. The scent doesn't linger for too long with any of these which I don't really mind. Throughout December, I've been using the body cream daily and I love it!

I much prefer the deep cleansing soaps to the foaming soaps. I feel like this does a better job at cleaning.

This cream doesn't last very long, which was a bit disappointing, but the scent is worth it. I also have the body lotion which I completely forgot to add to this post!

This body mist is a nice, light scent and it's not too overpowering. This bottle is HUGE and as you can tell, I'm having some trouble finishing it!

Have you tried Vanilla Bean Noel?

Beauty tip: for softer feet

My feet tend to become very dry during the colder months and this tip always works to restore them! I thought I'd start doing beauty tips a bit more often on my blog since I'm always searching for quick, new tips to try out. This tip is perfect to kick it off since it's starting to get colder. These will just be super quick, little posts sharing a new tip!

If you find your feet are very dry or if you'd just like to do a little spa night this tip is perfect! You can exfoliate your feet if you'd like then apply a thick lotion or body butter all over your feet, throw on some socks and sleep on it! In the morning when you remove your socks, your feet should be super smooth!

Thanks for reading, as always! =)

C.O. Bigelow Rose Salve Review!

Hey there!
I've been pulling out my rose salve lately because my lips have been really dry and I thought, why not do a review on it? So that's exactly what I'm doing!
I purchased this about a year ago, on sale at Bath and Body Works. (Regular price: $5.50)
The brand is C.O. Bigelow, but a few of their items are sold at BBW. It says you can use it on lips, face, elbows, cuticles, knees, or any dry places.
I absolutely love the packaging and scent of this product! The packaging is very classic and bright. It smells like a sweet rose scent and it's not overpowering. I usually use this for lips, but my other favorite place to use it is to moisturize my cuticles.
This is almost like a translucent, gel-looking texture and it applies very smoothly. it doesn't give of any color but it adds a lot of shine. While it lasts, it's extremely moisturizing but it doesn't last very long at all. Maybe 30-60 minutes. It also doesn't have any long term benefits for me. I still like to apply this as a lip balm and cuticle cream, but it's nothing extravagant.
That's pretty much all I have to say about this.
I wouldn't say not to buy this but I probably wouldn't recommend it either. If you want to buy it, go for it, it's only about $5 (which could be considered pricey for a lip balm).
Anyways, that's it for today!
Bye!

Blogmas 2013: Day 30! Bath & Body Works Room Spray

A little bit of a different post for the second to last day of Blogmas.
I had originally planned another Mani Monday, but me being the forgetful person I am, completely forgot to remove my old polish and paint my nails. Today I actually went on a quick shopping trip and though I'd talk about this room spray I picked up from Bath & Body Works.
How's that for a post on the spot? ;)
I only snapped one quick pic before my camera battery decided to die on me...
These were 3 for $5 or $2 each. I really wanted three but I stopped myself, as I have way too many Bath & Body Works products piling up at home.
I had to at least buy 1 though, and I decided Cinnamon Frosting smelled the BEST.
I got home and quickly tried it out, spraying 3 sprays in a tiny room. Kind of a big mistake...
My room was drenched in cinnamon frosting! I definitely think 1 spray is enough for a small room, I'll have to save 3 sprays for a bigger room such as a family room or something.
I would say this smells more like frosting than cinnamon, in fact I can't tell if I smell any cinnamon at all or if I'm just imagining it!
I haven't had the time completely test it out, but there's a little "first impression" for you.
Bye!

Yesterday, I went shopping for boxing day! (Similar to Black Friday but the day after Christmas).
I didn't get a ton of things but I am super content with what I got especially since Christmas was just the day before.
My favorite store of the trip was definitely Sephora, there were some great $12 steals!
Shea Infused lounge socks: 50% off
Hand Sanitizer: 75% off

cake After Dark 3 Piece Set for darker hues: $13 (worth $40)
Urban Decay Deluxe shadow box with mini Primer Potion: $12 special (worth $42)
MAKE UP FOREVER Aqua shadow duo: $12 (worth $48)
And finally, I got a blush/highlight from the Body Shop for $2 (regular price $22)
That's it! I hope you enjoyed seeing my new purchases (not trying to brag).
By the way, this post was photographed with my new CAMERA! I was super excited to start using it!
(I'm still getting used to it)

Blogmas 2013: Day 5! Favorite Perfumes and Body Mists

I love collecting perfumes! Every time a new one comes out, I feel like I need to buy it, or at least run to the store and smell it! Perfumes are completely personal preference. There's a wide variety of different types of scents which can really express who you are. Many people have a signature scent which you could notice them by, but I could never choose just one!
It's always fun to pick out a new scent each day and I love leaving the house smelling great! I feel empty when I forget perfume in the mornings so I usually keep a mini in my purse just in case.
A huge problem I ran into was leaving my perfumes out exposed in the sun :0
I had kept my perfumes on a tray on my desk by my window and the sun hit them everyday. The scents changed within months to unappealing scents. I could still smell a hint of the original scent but it was mostly un-wearable which was pretty disappointing. I'm definitely going to repurchase my ruined ones since I can't live without them!
When I'm going out for the night, or something fancier, I tend to opt for a full-on perfume, but during the day I usually enjoy a light body mist!
Anyways, on with my favorites!
As you can see, the coloring of Pink Sugar (the one of the far right) is totally off. Due to sun damage it has turned an awful yellow color! I would definitely recommend storing your perfume out of the sun and out of the heat!
The first body mist is Beautiful Day by Bath and Body Works. This is the perfect scent for the summer! It's light and fruity with a hint of floral. I actually featured this in a haul along with Honey Sweetheart which you can view here.
Next is my absolute favorite winter scent and all-time favorite Bath and Body Works scent. It's called Vanilla Bean Noel and I absolutely adore it! It's smells exactly how you would expect, just like vanilla!
Honey Sweetheart Is perfect when I'm looking for a floral flirty scent. It's also from Bath and Body Works and the packaging is to die for.
The Bath and Body Works website had a description for it:
Top Notes: Italian Mandarin, Grapefruit, White Peach
Mid Notes: Apple Blossom, Honeysuckle, Gardenia, Lily of the valley
Dry Notes: Cedarwood, Amber, Vanilla, Musk, Candy Heart Accord
I am awful at describing scents so I won't bother.
Pink Sugar is the perfect sweet scent. It smells like cotton candy and everything sweet. I always get compliment when I wear it and I often hear people say "What smells like candy?' Oh it's just my AMAZING perfume! ;)
As you can see I love vanilla. I tried a solid perfume from lush in the scent Vanillary and it has a completely different scent than Vanilla bean Noel. It's super easy and quick to apply so it's great for on the go.
Finally, my last favorite is Cotton Candy by Demeter. I would totally recommend checking out the Demeter website to browse all of their amazing unique, scents. They have crazy ones like Black Bamboo, all the way to sweet ones like Cotton Candy! I don't think I need to do much explaining on how this smells, but let's just say it's amazing!
Costs (Regular Price from their websites):
Beautiful Day: $14
Vanilla Bean Noel: $14
Honey Sweetheart (travel size): around $8
Pink Sugar (1.7oz./50ml): $30-$50
Vanillary: $9.95
Cotton Candy (1oz): $20
Well, those are my top 6 favorite perfumes and body mists! I hope you enjoyed and come back tomorrow for Blogmas day 6! Hope you've been enjoying Blogmas =)

Bath and Body Works Haul

I meant to post this yesterday but I didn't have time, sorry.
Yesterday I went to Bath and Body Works because I had a coupon for spend $15 get a free fragrance.
I decided to get 3 minis for $10 since I also got soap I had enough for the free fragrance.
I got the tiny size body lotion in Rome Honeysuckle Amore. It smells really sweet and peachy.
Then I got the Carried away mini shower gel because I had heard many good things about the scent.
I can't describe scents but the Bath and Body Works website can and it says: Raspberries, white jasmine, and vanilla which is pretty much what it smells like.
My favorite thing I got was the mini Honey sweetheart body mist. The bottle is the prettiest thing ever. It's a really sweet floral scent.
I got the full size Beautiful Day body mist and I believe this is a newer scent. It's smells like citrus, fruit and a hint of floral.
Last but not least I got the travel size Venice Dolce Berry body mist which is a very summery fruit scent.
I can't get over this packaging.
Bye for now!
