Too Faced Christmas in New York: The Chocolate Shop

Okay... so I know I haven't posted in nearly 2 years! But today I just had a huge urge to make a post on this Too Faced gift set that I received for Christmas. This set is way too pretty to not take photos of. The pink packaging and New York theme of Too Faced's 2016 Christmas collection is too die for.

I love all of the detail in the packaging.

The set comes with an eye primer, a mascara, a liquid lipstick and a palette with 21 eye shadows, a highlighter, bronzer, and a blush!

The Better Than Sex mascara is my absolute favorite and I have been wanting to try the melted lipstick for a while! Plus I am always needing eye primer.

18 of the eye shadows are 0.03 oz. and 3 are 0.07 oz. There is an amazing variety of shade, many which are perfect for the holiday and many are perfect for everyday. Each shadow has a unique holiday themed name. The blush is the most unique shade of blush I've ever seen! I forgot to mention the entire palette as well as the liquid lipstick have a decadent chocolate scent.

From left to right: Sugared Raisin, Huckleberry, Jingle Berry, Banana Date, Butterscotch, Gingerdoodle (I think..!), then the Innerlight luminizer, and the Chocolate Covered Strawberry blush.
The pigmentation varies between the shadows and for the most part they have a fair pigmentation. They aren't as pigmented as I hoped but I assume using a primer would boost the color payoff.

The lipstick isn't matte (I love matte) but I actually do not mine the slight gloss. The color is a bit too orange-based for me but I will continue to give it a go.

Too Faced Sweet Sunshines Lip Gloss: Mocha Freeze

I'm not usually one to use a lot of lip products, and fall in love with them but this gloss from Too Faced really stood out to me. I placed an order on Sephora a while back and purchased the Paparazzi Ready set. I decided I would do separate reviews on each product, and since I've already reviewed the bronzer I thought I'd continue and review the lip gloss.

The packaging is super cute and I love the black, pink and gold color scheme.  I believe this is a product that is only sold in the paparazzi package. I couldn't find it on Sephora online and I haven't seen it in stores. I can't compare it to any other Too Faced glosses as this is the only one I've tried.

I have the shade Mocha Freeze which is a very universal shade, perfect for all skin tones. The gloss is super creamy and smooth and is not sticky whatsoever! I really dislike sticky glosses and when I tried this I was pleasantly shocked. It doesn't have much of a scent which is nice. It's not completely opaque, it gives a a fairly sheer tint and a great shine. It's also buildable , if you apply a few colors the color is more visible. I really like this lip gloss, it's probably one of my favorites so far!

OVERALL:

Color payoff: 8/10
Lasting: 7/10
Price: N/A
Texture: 10/10
Would I repurchase?: If I could, yes!
Would I recommend?: yes!
Overall I'd give this a 9/10! I really love this and always find myself coming back to it. it's great on its own, or over a neutral lipstick.

That's it. Thanks for reading and I hope this review helped you in some way. Let me know if you've tried this gloss or any gloss from Too Faced!
Bye :)

Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer Review

Hello!
I recently shared a haul of my Sephora purchase and I thought I'd review the products separately. I'm starting with the Chocolate Soleil Bronzer  because that's what I've been using the most! Here we go!

The packaging is very posh, with he reflective bronze lid and the simple pattern and font. It's not cheap packaging at all and I was very pleased with the quality.

I have the shade Milk Chocolate, of course, since I am so fair-skinned. It matches my complexion perfectly, giving my the perfect amount of bronzing and contour.

It's a completely matte bronzer which is great because it's perfect for contouring! I mostly focus it on the hollows of my cheeks, my temples and my jawline & neck.

It's very smooth and blends in so easily! It costs $38 which is very pricey, but I do think it is worth it! It's the best bronzer I have ever tried so far!

OVERALL:

Color: 10/10
Blendability: 10/10
Price: 6/10
Packaging: 9.5/10
Downside?: I honestly couldn't find one other than the price!
Would I repurchase?: Yes!
Would I recommend?: Definitely!

I really do love this bronzer and I have been using it daily. I had heard great things about it but I was skeptical due tot he price. When I found the Too Faced Paparazzi Ready Kit I decided to go for it and I'm glad I did!

Thanks for reading my review, I hope it was helpful!

Sephora Online Order Haul!

I recently placed my first order on Sephora.ca! I was pretty disappointing as they didn't accept my gift card because I was shipping to Canada so I actually caved and bought it myself. At least I have a few Sephora gift cards left! Anyways, I had been eying this kit for a while now and it was limited edition and online exclusive so I just had to order it. It was an amazing deal, and I wanted most of the products so I ordered it! My Mum also ordered something so we put our order together and it worked perfectly and got us free shipping (I hate paying for shipping)!

When ordering on Sephora, you can choose 3 samples to add at no extra cost. I chose 2 and my Mum also chose one which was the living proof hair sample set with 3 samples. She's really been loving it!
There was an unexpected surprise when I opened the box. There was a perfume sample set sitting at the top of to package.  It came with five, one-use perfume samples which was a nice little surprise!
I tried a few and I really liked the Dolce & Gabbana one!

The samples I chose were two by Make Up For Ever. First, their HD primer which I'm going to try for a special event coming up. I also wanted to try their HD pressed powder. They're both quite tiny but fun to try!
I also chose a Beauty Insider perk! With a $35 purchase I could get a shadow sampler from Urban Decay. I didn't realize how tiny the shadows were but oh well!

I gave the primer and 3 of the shadows to my Mum as I already have them in my collection and I can't wait to use Desperation which is a gorgeous dark taupe.

I kinda wish the packaging was a little nicer considering it's high end, but I don't really mind too much.

I've never tried anything from Too Faced before and I had heard great things about it, especially the Chocolate Soleil Bronzer.
This kit is called Paparazzi Ready and I thought it would be perfect to try some Too Faced products!
The bronzer is originally $38, so for $38 I got it all!
I'm kind of troubled when it comes to bronzer. It either looks orange or streaky on me. After using this for a while I think I may have found a new favorite! (Full review coming soon!)

For $48 I got a full sized bronzer, which smells divine, a full sized lip gloss, in a very wearable color, a full sized eyeliner, in classic black, a mini beauty balm, in a shade much too dark for me, and a mini mascara, perfect for travel!

That's all for this haul, I can't wait to review this after I've tried it a bit more, Bye!
