Sally Hansen Miracle Gel ~ Mani Monday/First Impression (Bare Dare)

So after eying it for a while, I went out and picked up the new Sally Hansen miracle gel polish yesterday. I had heard mixed reviews on it but the majority of them were positive. getting gel polish at the salon can't cost up to $50 so I though this would be a cheaper alternative. Each polish was $11.99. I saw it for $9.99 at other stores but none of them had the top coat in stock. It's a bit pricey especially considering you need a separate top coat but I was hoping it would be worth it in the long run.

My mother and I both wanted to try it so we decided on a nude shade called Bare Dare.
packaging was a bit misleading since the black shade and the top coat look nearly identical apart for the lid color.

We were both quite disappointed with the polish. it was extremely sheer and streaky. After one coat you could barely tell ti was there. We added 2 coats and it was super streaky and uneven. There were lots of spots with uneven coverage. I did 3 coats and my Mum decided to stick with 2. After 3 coats, the polish was STILL streaky and uneven. I usual hate using 3 coats since it's much harder to remove. I really wasn't impressed.

You can kind of see the streaks better in this photo. they're much more visible in person.

A few things we did like about this polish was that the brush made it very easy to stay within your nails and create a flawless line. It also dried extremely fast making it faster to paint your nails.

I really hope it is just this shade that is streaky but I'm also  bit scared to shell out another $10 for another possibly streaky polish that I'll never use. I haven't removed it yet so we'll see how that goes and maybe I'll do an update post on lasting power and how well it removes.
Let me know if you've had a different experience with this polsih.
Bye!

Mani Monday: Sally Hansen Breezy Blue!

I haven't done one of these in a while! I wanted a little pick-me-up for Summer so I decided to give my nails a little love and paint them this gorgeous blue by Sally Hansen. It took me about 3 coats and a lot of patience to paint my nails. I got those little annoying air bubbles and fixed it for the most part but some of them still peek through. I love doing Mani Mondays as they're so easy and fun to post!
Enjoy xx

I guess I didn't realize this photo isn't in focus, but the shade is 481 Breezy Blue.

That's all for this Mani Monday! :)

Mani Monday ~ Sally Hansen Misbehaved!

I dug out some nail stickers I'd had for over a year now (I totally forgot about them!) and tried them out on Friday! They're slightly time-consuming to apply but there's no drying time. I've had them on for 3 days or so and they've lasted fairly well! Sorry about the photo qualtiy, I was working with some low-lighting. Anyways, enjoy!

The "shade" or "color" is Misbehaved and it's a black fishnet over a metallic bronze. I really like it and it's really unique! These strips are a little pricey at $10 for 1 use but I guess it's worth it once in a while. I believe I actually received these as a gift!
That's about it, thanks!

Mani Monday! (It's back!)

Hello!
I'm finally back with another Mani Monday, I feel like I haven't done one of these in ages!
I haven't been painting my nails as often as I have gotten a bit lazy about it but I thought I'd get right back in the swing of things! I opted for a pale Spring-like blue from Sally Hansen.
It took 3 coats because it was a bit streaky but the end result is gorgeous!
Enjoy!
xx

The color is Breezy Blue  by Sally Hansen Xtreme wear and I found on sale for $2 at Walmart!

I hope you enjoyed this Mani Monday post, bye!

Top 5 Spring Nail Polishes

Hey guys!
The seasons are changing again which means it's time for another seasonal polish faves! Spring is the perfect time to pull out your bright neons & and pale pastels. Here's my top 5!

As you can see, they are all pastels & brighter colors. Spring & Summer are probably my favorite seasons for nail polish because you can make such a statement.

The first two are by CoverGirl in peek a boo pink and coral silk. The formula of this is thin but not too sheer, and the colors are perfect for this season.

Next I have an Essie polish in under where? This is a creamy, pink toned purple shade which is neutral enough to go with any outfit but bright at the same time!

This is one of my favorite shades! It's Mint Sorbet by Sally Hansen. It's the perfect mint green color and it's very affordable too!

Last but not least I have Revlon's dreamer. This is a very toned down pink-toned blue and it reminds me of the sky!

That's all of the polish I have to show, I hope you enjoyed!

Blogmas 2013: Day 22! Sally Hansen Colorfast Tint+Moisture Balm

I bought this Sally Hansen Colorfast Tint+Moisture Balm a month or two ago and I've been trying it out for quite a while. This was the first jumbo lip pencil type product I'd ever tried out and I love it, I can't wait to try more! These retail for about $5 which is a little below average.
These are retractable which is a great quality.
I have the shade In the Pink which is a super pretty sheer rose color. It adds a little bit of a color and a lot of shine to your lips. These are extremely moisturizing and they last for a few hours.
I really love this product, it's perfect for everyday wear! I hope to try more shades in the future.
That's all for today!
Bye!

Blogmas 2013: Day 16! Mani Monday

Another Mani Monday!
I had originally planned a red glitter mani, but after the struggle of getting last week's glitter polish off, I decided to pass and opt for a metallic silver!
Left: No flash. Right: Flash
This polish is a super pretty festive color if you're trying to stay away from reds. it applies super opaque (I only used one coat!) but I've noticed it chipping already! :0
That's it!
Bye! =)
