First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream

I'm finally down to the last review from the First Aid Beauty set. Today's post is all bout their Ultra Repair cream which I have loved since I first used it! I love the packaging on all of their products. This jar of cream is fairly large so I can see it lasting a while. It isn't very scented which is s good thing. Especially when you apply lotion all over your body, it can be way to overpowering if it's scented.
I have quite sensitive skin and this works really well with that.
This makes my skin so soft! It's a super thick body butter consistency and it applies so nicely. After a few minutes it soaks in. I usually use this after a shave my legs and it makes the world of difference. I don't really have a ton so say about this other than it's a really luxurious body cream that would be a great item to splurge on. This size retails for $37 CA which is really quite a lot, however once in a while it's a nice treat.
I think the set I purchased this in was really a great opportunity since I honestly probably wouldn't spend nearly $40 on this.

RATINGS:

Packaging: 10/10
Price: 6/10
Hydration: 9/10
Scent: 9/10
Would I repurchase?: It's possible
Would I recommend?: Yes, if you're willing to pay the price!
Overall: 9/10!

Have a great day :)

First Aid Beauty Ultra Lip Therapy

Hello! I decided to review another product from my First Aid Beauty set. This time I'm reviewing the Ultra Repair Lip Therapy! I love the packaging on this how it is a squeeze tube, it sets it apart from other lip balms.
At first, it was super creamy and moisturizing and had a really nice super slightly minty scent. After a few months it separated and it quite liquid-y. I found that happened with another squeeze tube lip balm I had. Other than that I really enjoyed it
It was quit moisturizing and lasted a fair amount of time. I enjoy the scent because it isn't too minty but it is the perfect amount.
I don't have too much else to say since it is only a lip balm so that is about it!

Have a good day/night!

Soap & Glory Suagr Crush Body Buttercream

It's been a while since I have found a body butter with a scent I've been in love with. I received this Body Buttercream by Soap & Glory for my birthday a week or two ago and as soon as I smelled it, I knew it was a new favorite. This body butter smells exactly like a lemon lime soda, it's amazing! The scent lingers too! It's not too overwhelming but it's still noticeable!

Not only is the lotion amazing, the packaging is adorable! The pink and green go together perfectly to make a super fun and bright look!

The body butter is similar to the ones from Victoria's secret, where it's a bit spongy at the touch but blends into the skin nicely. It doesn't last super long on my hands, however when I apply after shaving, my legs feel flawless! I would completely recommend this. I can't wait to try more from the Sugar Crush line since all of the products smell so amazing!

RATINGS

Moisture: 8/10
Scent: 10/10
Packaging: 10/10
Lasting Power: 8/10
Would I repurchase?: YES!
Would I recommend?: FOR SURE!
Overall: 9/10

Have you ever tried this?

DIY Honey & Lemon Acne Spot Mask

Hello! I breakout a few times a month and never really bother to do anything about it. I've recently been trying this DIY honey and lemon spot mask and it's not too bad. it doesn't work wonders or anything but it definitely shrinks my pimples a bit! I thought I'd share the recipe even though it's almost too simple to bother sharing!

All you need is honey and lemon juice! I sued pre-squeezed juice but you can definitely squeeze your own. I usually use about equal parts of each, but you can just it to your preference. Once you've mixed it up, apply it to all of you acne. You can apply it all over if you'd like too, but I've never done that!

That's about it! Hoped this helped a bit, have a great Saturday!

Thymes Essentials Madarin Leaf Body Wash ~ Review

I picked up this body wash a while back at Target on clearance, before it closed down. I just recently began using it and now I can finally share my review. I can't really remember how much it was but from what I remember, I believe it was originally around $12 and it was marked down for around $5. Not completely sure on that one.
The reason I bought it is because it smelled exactly like mandarin oranges. it didn't smell like a fake candy-like orange scent, it smelled identical to a fresh mandarin orange! The scent alone completely sold me.

The body wash itself isn't my favorite ever but I really don't mind it. my favorite body wash is the tone body wash but this one was pretty good. It was just slightly too thin and didn't lather quite as much as I would have liked. The scent doesn't go away when I use it. I can still smell it while in the shower. It's a very gentle wash and doesn't irritate my skin (I have very sensitive skin).

RATINGS

Scent: 10/10
Lather: 8/10
Price: 8/10
Would I repurchase?: If Target hadn't closed down :(
Would I recommend?: Yes if you can find it! At least smell it if you see it!
Overall: 9/10

Overall I really liked this body wash and it's the perfect scent for the Spring time!

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Instant Oatmeal Mask ~ Review

Hello there! So I thought I'd share another review from the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Head-To-Toe Hydration set. I already reviewed the Face moisturizer here so feel free to check that one out. Today I'm reviewing the face mask from the set.
The set was only $53 however the mask regularly retails for $28. You can get it at Sephora here!
The mask is slightly chunky with a bits of oatmeal but it goes on fairly invisible. After ten minutes, I rinse it off and my face feels quit smooth. It wasn't too much different than other face mask but my skin did feel pretty soft. I did really enjoy this mask since it worked well with my sensitive skin. it was very gentle and had little scent to irritate my skin.

I don't have much else to say, other than that.

RATINGS

 Skin benefits: 8/10
Moisture/repair: 8/10
How it feels: 9/10
Price: 6/10
Would I repurchase?: Possibly
Would I recommend?: Yes!
Overall: 8/10

I hope you enjoyed this review, enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Nivea Lip Butter Blueberry Blush

I haven't heard much about the new Nivea Lip Butter flavor, but I've seen it in a few stores. The first time I heard about it was when my Mom brought it home for me! She knows I love any lip balm, especially Nivea Lip Butters. These have slowly become my new lip addiction! i've tried all of them and had been waiting for a new one to come out and this one finally did. I thought blueberry was pretty unique and I've begun to really love it.

It's just at creamy and moisturizing as the other lip butters. This one is purple, but just like the others, appears colorless on the lips. I don't have much to compare it to, since I don't know of many blueberry scented things, but it smells great! It's really sweet and fruity. It's not too overpowering on the lips like some scented balms can be.

I would say this is in my top faves of Nivea Lip Butters and just lip balms in general.
I would definitely recommend trying it out if you see it!

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Face Moisturizer ~ Review

Happy Spring everyone! It sure doesn't feel much like Spring here, since it just snowed on Friday but I hope you are all having a brighter Spring. I realized that I haven't even reviewed my new favorite face moisturizer, so that's what today's post is!

I bought this Ultra Repair kit at Sephora on Boxing day last year and I am so glad that I did. This is actually still on the website, and I believe it's limited edition so grab it while you can! It was $53 with a value of $110. I had always wanted to try something from this brand so it was the perfect opportunity to save $57.

This face moisturizer is a lot thinner than most face creams I've tried. I think that's mainly why I enjoyed it so much. I only use it in the mornings and it wear great under my makeup. It blends Into my skin really easily and seconds later it has set. After it sets, my skin feels smooth and not sticky and it's really for makeup! This has made my skin feel really healthy and smooth. it doesn't dry it out or make it tight. it also hasn't broken me out which is great!
The moisturizer itself retails for $30 which is quite pricey, however I loved it so much I would definitely consider repurchasing.

RATINGS

Moisture: 10/10
Texture & wear: 10/10
Price: 7/10
Would I repurchase?: Quite possibly
Would I recommend?: YES!
Overall: 9/10

That's about it! Enjoy the week ahead! :)

Biore self heating mask ~ Review

When I found a package of Biore Pore Strips with a free pack of face masks, I jumped on the deal. I already reviewed the pore strips if you want to check that out here, so I thought I'd also review the masks. The package comes with 4 self heating one minute masks. These faces masks are very unique since you don't apply and leave them on.

Each mask comes in its own package giving you just the perfect amount without waste.
You apply the mask and massage it in for 1 minute. After the time is up you rinse it all off.
I actually really enjoy this mask. It took some getting used to but it's a nice change. Once I start massaging it into my skin, I immediately notice a change in temperature. The mask becomes very warm and soothing. This would be great for a winter spa night.
My face felt very refreshed and clean after using this. My skin also felt super smooth and soft like it does after most face masks. I can't say how much these cost separately, but the 2 in 1 pack was around $8.
I like using these on nights where I don't have as much time to relax and sit with a fact mask on. When I'm looking for a quick deep clean, I'll go for this.

OVERALL:

Practicality: 9/10
Skin Benefits: 8/10
Would I repurchase?: Possibly
Would I recommend?: Yes, if you're looking for a quick/soothing face mask.
Overall: 8.5/10

That's about all I have to say about this face mask!
Have an amazing day :)

Neutrogena Deep Clean Cleanser ~ Review

I've recently been on the hunt for a new holy grail face wash. Ever since Clean & Clear discontinued my favorite morning burst face wash I've been testing tons of new cleansers. Most of the ones I've tried have had a funny scent, or they haven't lathered well or they and too drying. This is the first one I've tried that I can actually see myself repurchasing. It's not the best face wash I've ever used but I think it might have to do.

The scent isn't my favorite but it's nothing unbearable.
One pump is all you need! It lathers really nicely and is easily worked into the skin. It is also really easy to rinse off. I tend to wash my face once a day in the shower.
This was is directed towards normal to oily skin which is exactly what I have! I've actually recently noticed an oil decrease in my skin but I can say this is the reason. I've been using lots of new products so any of them could be the cause.
My skin doesn't feel dry or tight after I use this, in fact it feels quite soft and smooth.
I believe it's around $8 at the drugstore which is fairly average.
In the end, I found this to be a really simple cleanser that hits all the points I look for.

OVERALL

Lather: 9/10
Scent: 7/10
Price: 9/10
Would I repurchase?: Yes!
Would I recommend?: Yes, again!
Overall: 8.5/10

I definitely plan to repurchase this since it's the best cleanser I've tried in a while!

(Updated) Skincare Routine

My last skincare routine was over a year ago. I figured it was time to share my updated routine since it has changed quite a bit! I still like to keep my skincare fairly simple since my skin is quite sensitive. I often breakout when I try new products and these are the products that work for me. my skin is combo-oily. My t-zone tends to get super oily throughout the day however I also get dry spots here and there.

I wash my face once a day in the evenings. My favorite cleanser by clean & clear was discontinued so I've been on the hunt for a new one. I've tried a ton and so far Neutrogena's Deep Clean is the one I like most. It lathers fairly well and doesn't leave my face dry or tight.
Once a week or so, I like to exfoliate my face with Queen Helene's scrub. I like this scrub because it's not too harsh.
I also like to use a mask once a week. I usually switch it up but my favorite is First Aid Beauty's Instant Oatmeal Mask. It's really gentle and makes my skin feel so soft.

My holy grail skincare product is Lush's Tea Tree Water. It keeps my acne at bay and I can't go a day without it! It's also really refreshing.
At night, I like using the Nivea Nourishing Night Cream. It's very thick and moisturizing. My skin always feels so soft the morning after.
After the shower, I love using the Ultra Repair Cream from First Aid Beauty all over my body. A little goes a long way!

In the morning, I apply First Aid Beauty's Face Moisturizer. It soaks in super fast allowing me to apply makeup sooner.
I love Nivea lip products for my lips. My favorite lip butter scent is Raspberry Rose.

That's about all I do!

KIT Strawberry strawberry yogurt softenning mask ~ Review

I love reviewing all of the products I received for Christmas! It's always fun trying a ton of new products and it gives me a lot of blog posts opportunities. I got this face mask in my stocking this year which is perfect since I had been looking for a new mask.

This mask looked like strawberry yogurt and it had enough in it for at least 2 uses. however I didn't realizes that when I first opened it and ended up using way too much. It smelled so good I wanted to eat it, but of course, I did not!

It felt cool when I first applied it. After a few minutes it started to tingle and almost sting. It feel really cool, almost too cool and I couldn't tell if it was stinging or just cooling. It was a fairly uncomfortable feeling so I removed it before I could wear it for 10 minutes.

My skin felt alright after. I'm glad I didn't break out or anything. My skin wasn't red afterwards, I guess it just felt that way while it was on. So that as too bad but oh well! I do have quite sensitive skin, so that could be a factor. Or maybe the mask was meant to feel that way and I didn't realize. I probably wouldn't buy a a full-size. Have you tried this mask?

That's all for the review, I hope it was helpful & let me know if you've had this same reaction with a mask!

3 Sephora samples ~ Mini reviews

I received these samples along with a few Sephora items for Christmas. I usually don't have much luck with Sephora samples however I ended up really enjoying these! The reviews won't be too lengthy, since they are just sample but I thought I'd share anyways!

 Daisy ~ Marc Jacobs
I've always heard great things about this perfume. I've smelled it in stores, but I've never worn it. I really enjoyed this scent, which is strange since I'm not usually one for floral. It's not super overpowering and it's a really nice, light, floral scent. I would definitely be open to trying the full sized! This is the Eau de toilette and I'm not quite sure what the difference between this and eau de parfum is.

 Repetto, Repetto
I was also completely surprised that I loved this scent. Again, I don't love super perfume-y scents, I prefer sweet & fruity. I ended up really liking this. It's really unique and not too overpowering however it lasts really long! I would also repurchase this!

DERMAdoctor KP duty body scrub
This sample was so small that I couldn't really form a complete opinion. I used it for the lower half of my legs and it worked fairly well. I didn't notice too much change but it wasn't bad in any way.

Happy Friday!

My spa night routine!

Every Sunday, I like to switch up my routine a bit and treat myself. On one or two Sundays of the month I go all out and do a complete spa night routine, when I need a pick-me-up. Keep in mind, some weeks I will just do one or two of these things, I only do the full thing every once in a while. I think it's great to have some me-time to pamper yourself, especially on Sundays to start your week out. Here's my full spa night routine!

I start in the shower with a body & face scrub. I received this Bath & Body Works Sugar Scrub as a Christmas gift and I'm already obsessed! It makes my skin feel so soft and it smells great! The Queen Helene face scrub is very gentle and a nice treat for my face!

I love doing hair masks once a week and the Aussie 3 minute miracle is my favorite! it makes my hair feel incredibly smooth & silky. I also like t add some hair oil like this one from Marc Anthony for some shine!

After my shower, I like to apply one of my many face masks. I choose based on my mood and skin condition at the time. As you can see I have a pretty tough decision to make!

Once my mask is rinsed off, I'll do my skincare routine. I start with the Lush Tea tree Water all over my face followed by my Nivea Night Cream. I moisturize my body with the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream and give my lips some love with their Ultra Repair Lip Therapy!

Lastly if I've got time, I'll paint my nails as well! I like to use the OPI Drip Dry drops to speed up the drying time, especially if I paint at night.

And that's my entire spa routine! Sometimes I switch it up a bit, but this is basically it.

Neutrogena Extra Gentle Cleanser ~ Review

Hello there! I've been meaning to review this face wash for quite a while now. I picked it up a while back because I was wanting a very gentle cleanser. It's at the drugstore for only about $8.
When I first started using it, I noticed it didn't lather at all. It's a strange consistency unlike any cleanser I've tried before. It's definitely creamy however it doesn't feel super moisturizing. It also didn't feel drying either.
I have combo oily skin that is also very sensitive, so I was looking for something gentle. This cleanser seemed like a pretty average product, nothing special.
It's not my favorite cleanser by any means but it has worked just fine for me. It has very little scent which is good for sensitive skin. After using it, my skin feels clean and smooth. I don't really look for anything special in a face wash other than to clean my face.

OVERALL:

Price: 8/10 average
Cleansing abilities: 7/10
Would I repurchase?: Probably not
Would I recommend?: If you have sensitive skin
Overall: 7/10

In the end, this face cleanser was nothing special and I wouldn't get it again.

Blogmas 2014: Day 24 ~ Bioré Pore Strips Review

Merry Christmas Eve!? Is that a thing to say? Anyways, Christmas is tomorrow and I cannot believe how fast the holiday season went by! Today I thought I'd do a quick review on the Bioré Pore Strips. I picked these up a while back since I had always wanted to try them. Recently I've noticed my pores a bit more and the ones on my nose are often clogged. I thought I'd try out these strips to see if they help! I hope you enjoy!

The first time I tried these, I was extremely surprised at how painful it was to peel off. When I first applied it, it was very easy to smooth down. When the time was up, it felt hard like paper mache. I've used these 3 or 4 times and I don't know if I will use them again. They are very painful to peel off and I didn't notice a ton of change. The strip was fairly clean afterwards, it didn't remove too much. I still saw a few clogged pores on my nose which disappointed me. With the pain and it not working as well as I hoped, it wasn't really worth it for me. It cost around $8 and it also came with 4 single use face masks which I'll review in a separate post.  I wouldn't repurchase these or recommend. I've heard many positive things about this, and as there are many different skin types and what not, it may work for others while it doesn't work for me.

I hope you have an amazing Christmas eve & Christmas if you celebrate! Enjoy your day! :)

Blogmas 2014: Day 23 ~ Vanilla Bean Noel Ultra Shea Body Cream & Fine Frgrance Mist

Christmas-time is my favorite time of the year for endless reasons, and Bath & Body Works' Vanilla Bean Noel scent is one of them! I purchase something of this scent every year. I've loved it for as long as I can remember. Bath & Body Works often carries very perfume-y scents which often give me headaches. Vanilla Bean Noel is different in the sense that it's less harsh and simply sweet!

I bought the spray a year or two ago, so it's still he old packaging. I picked up the 21 hour Ultra Shea Body Cream this year as well as the Deep Cleansing Hand Soap. These all have the same classic scent that I love. The scent doesn't linger for too long with any of these which I don't really mind. Throughout December, I've been using the body cream daily and I love it!

I much prefer the deep cleansing soaps to the foaming soaps. I feel like this does a better job at cleaning.

This cream doesn't last very long, which was a bit disappointing, but the scent is worth it. I also have the body lotion which I completely forgot to add to this post!

This body mist is a nice, light scent and it's not too overpowering. This bottle is HUGE and as you can tell, I'm having some trouble finishing it!

Have you tried Vanilla Bean Noel?

Lip balm hoarder: Lip balm collection

I would definitely say lip balm is my favorite beauty product. I apply it at least 10 times a day and buy it way too often! As you can tell, Nivea is probably my favorite brand but I love trying a ton of new brands. I keep it in my purse, by my bed, at my vanity, everywhere! Anyways this is a collection of all of the lip balms I could find in my house!

I've got 6 Nivea stick lip balms. I don't like the sun balm, it makes my lips look a little too white and pale. My favorite lip balm of all time is the essential one! I also really like their Lip Smoothie, it's slightly tinted.

I have a coupled of eos balms, I used to have way more but naturally,  finished them. I prefer the coconut milk visibly smooth one to the sweet mint but overall eos isn't my favorite.

More Nivea balms, I have all four lip butter and I love them all! The original one is my favorite!

I don't really like either of these since they're both extremely thick and sticky. And the carmex one has an odd scent that doesn't appeal to me.

The lemon lip cream is from Bath and Body Works however I don't use it since it separated or something and now is very thin like a liquid. I also haven't really used the vitamin e lip therapy I purchased at Daiso.

Lastly I've got a vanilla lip smacker and a clear Baby Lips. I have WAY more Baby Lips but I thought I'd only share the colorless one.

Those are all of my lip balms! I definitely used to have more but I've cut down a bit. Lip balm will always have a special place in my heart! haha, bye now!
