August & Summer favorites!

I thought I'd put a spin on my monthly favorites and add in my overall favorites of the summer! I cannot believe August is coming to an end, I'm actually quite sad. I don't have an abundant amount of favorites, but there definitely are more than usual.

Starting with this months favorites, I've been loving the Secret deodorant in Paris. It lasts a very long time and has quite a nice scent. I began to like the L'Oreal miss manga mascara. In my review I mentioned it wasn't my favorite, buts it's grown on me. I've started using blush again and elf's tickled pink is the perfect peach/pink! The little jar with polka dot tape, is actually a BB cream I made myself. It's very lightweight and has a light coverage. If anyone would like a DIY on it I'd be more than happy! I've been loving a light color on my lips lately and the L'Oreal color riche balms are perfect! I had Essie's Go Ginza on my toes all month and it's a really pretty color! And lastly, I've been finishing up my foundation by buffing it with the Icing hd foundation brush. it's not good for applying since it soaks it up, but it finishes blending well.

For my Summer favorites, the Tone Mango Splash body wash is the perfect summer scent! I haven't been washing my hair everyday, so between washes, I use the Dove dry shampoo and it's amazing! I recently discovered the Aussie 3 minute miracle conditioner and it makes my hair so smooth. The Benefit cream shadows are great for a super easy summer look. The Too Faced milk chocolate soleil bronzer isn't muddy and smells so good! My lips are always dry so Nivea's essential lip balm is perfect since it's so moisturizing. And my scent of the Summer has been Victoria's Secret Passion Struck!

That's about it! I hope you enjoyed! :)

August empties

I only finished a few products this month. Most of them are fairly boring so I apologize for the shortness of this. I have a huge favorites post coming soon to make up for that!

Dove unscented deodorant: This doesn't last long or wear well. I've actually moved on to something I like much better!

Aveeno pure renewal shampoo: I really enjoyed and would use it again! It's closer to $10, but it works well!

Live Clean clarifying shampoo: I love this stuff and have already repurchased! It smells amazing and isn't heavy.

Nivea nourishing day cream: This works great and is very thick and moisturzing.

Elizabeth Arden beautiful color mascara: This was dry and hard to remove. It also clumped, didn't like it.

Kirkland makeup wipes: These are in every empties so I don't have much to say.

That's about it!
Bye now :)

DIY Canvases & Wall Decor Inspiration

Hello there!
I've been occupying myself over the summer by painting a lot and I love it! It's really fun and inexpensive room decor! In thought I'd share some of my favorite wall art canvases and what not. I hope you enjoy! This sin;t exactly a tutorial, more like inspiration. :)

For the California outline, I just made this up on my own. I took a drawer liner (any large sticker would work) Ad cut it out in the shape of California, then painted over it, peeled it off, and added a flower for dimension!

For the graphic brand canvas, I looked up the logos of my favorite (an some random) makeup brands, drew them, and painted over.

I actually followed a YouTube tutorial for this one. All I did was paint the canvas, make pink splotches, add darker pink lines and leaves!

I used tape to make a random pattern, filled in the sections with complimentary colors and removed the tape of course.

I got inspiration for this from a YouTube video as well. It's difficult to explain, so check out Anneorshine on YouTube!

This isn't a canvas but it's still cute! I printed out a photo of choice to fit the frame and stuck it in! Super simple!

That's all! I hope this was helpful to some of you, enjoy your day! :)

HOT or NOT: Hyped up products

I had the hardest time coming up with new blog post ideas. After days of pondering, I finally came up with doing hot or not on products. It's obviously not my idea, but I thought it would be fun to try! I gathered the products I've bought based on hype and good reps and I'm gonna tell you if I think they're worth it or not!
Enjoy!

Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil Bronzer ($38): HOT! Not muddy, blendable and long wearing!

Covergirl 3 in 1 Foundation ($10): HOT! Light weight, medium coverage and great texture!

Rimmel Stay Matte ($6): NOT. This was nothing special to me, didn't last that long on me and hit pan quickly. Not the worst and I'd probably use again!

Maybelline Baby Skin ($7): NOT. Thick and lays on top of skin. Barely reduced my pores.

L'Oreal Voluminous mascara ($6): HOT! Great volume, long lasting and no smudges!

L'Oreal Voluminous Miss Manga Mascara ($9): NOT. Hard to work with but if you take you time you can get some nice volume.

Too Faced Waterproof Eyeliner ($23): NOT. I find it doesn't sharpen to a point which makes it difficult to do much other than a super thick line. It also is a bit too creamy.

Rimmel Scandal Eyes Nude Eyeliner ($5): NOT. It didn't last long on me and barely showed up.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream ($5): HOT! Lasts long and great color selection. Matte but not too drying!

Maybelline Baby Lips ($4): HOT! Very moisturizing and just enough color payoff.

NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss ($5): HOT! Smells like cherry, not sticky, and great pigmentation!

Jergens Natural Glow Gradual Tanner ($8): HOT! Works in 3 days to give a natural looking tan.

Real Techniques Powder Brush ($10): HOT! Super soft and great at blending.

Essie Polishes ($8): NOT. I don't like the brush and it apply streaky. They're expensive and the formula is thin.

Taylor Swift Wonderstruck Enchanted Perfume ($25 1 oz): HOT! Smells so perfect! A great mix of sweet with a hint of floral/fruity.

That's all for hyped up product Hot or Not! I hope you enjoyed :)

The many ways of eyeliner

I am very bad at taking photos of my own eyes, so please bear with me. Anyways, eyeliner is one of my favorites parts of doing my makeup, so I thought I'd share some different looks with you. I apologize if they are unclear or blurry, I had a lot of trouble with the photos.
Regardless, I hope you enjoy!

If you have any questions about any of the looks, feel free to comment below!
Bye for now.

E.L.F. Under Eye Concealer & Highlighter ~ Review

I've been looking for a good highlighter for under my eyes to brighten them up. I've found the perfect under-eye concealer for me, but it doesn't do much brightening up. I decided to try this to see if it was any good.

There are two ends: a concealer, and a highlighter.

The concealer didn't cover much on me. It kind of actually caked up a bit and stayed on top of the skin. It was very thin and fairly blendable.

The wand it pink but the product is white. The highlight is very sheer and doesn't do much. I can hardly notice I've even put it on. Again, it was thin and fairly blendable but it kind of just blended away. Not a huge fan of this either.

Top: Before
Middle: Application
Bottom: After

As you can tell from the top photo to the bottom, it doesn't change much. The dark patches are still there, and it adds a bit of flaky-ness.

Price: $3 8/10
Blendability: 8/10
Coverage: 3/10
Highlight: 3/10
Lasting power: 5/10
Packaging: Lids are loose, 5/10
Overall:  5/10

I wouldn't repurchase this or recommend. It's too bad this didn't work for me, but oh well, it was only $3!
That's all, bye!

Nails of the day

I recently painted my nails neon pink, but that didn't last long so I took it off for a few days, and now I painted them again! I'm not in love with them, but they'll do for now, haha! I'm gonna miss summer, but I am excited for fall nail polish! The mint I used it Sally Hansen's Mint Sorbet and the blue accent nail is China Glaze's For Audrey.

I'm really not that talented at painted my nails so please excuse the messiness.

I've got on two coats of the mint on every nail, and I added one coat of the the blue on top of my accent nails.

I hope you enjoyed, just a quick one for today!
Bye!

Face of the day

I've never really done a Face of the day, so I thought it was about time! I've seen many posts like this and I find them so fun to read. I hope you enjoy these as much as I so!

For face, I wanted light coverage to I opted for my own DIY BB cream I made. I mixed a bunch of different things such as foundation, concealer, moisturizer, primer, sunscreen and possibly a few other things.I used the Fit Me concealer under my eyes, and set it all with Rimmel Stay Matte. I've just recently hit pan on this.

I used Verve all over the lid, with a pop of Suspect and Pistol in the crease.

I did a thin line with the Maybellline master precise felt liner and used the smashbox eye brightening mascara along with the Lancome Hypnose Drama to create a full lash look. I filled in my brows with the NYC brow pencil in dark brown.

And I just put on a bit of lip balm!

Target clearancea: Gillette Venus Embrace Sensitive Bonus Set

The other day I made a quick trip to Target, looking for a gift for a friend. Of course I had to check out the clearance section while I was there! They didn't have as many good deals as usual but this one caught my eye. It's a kit consisting of a razor, 2 cartridges, a mini shaving gel and a Covergirl nail polish.

It was on clearance for $4.03! When purchased separately, one razor is nearly $10! A full size of the shaving gel (7 oz) is $2.74, the mini has 2.5 oz. And a full sized Covergirl nail polish is $5.99!
The set has a value of nearly $17!

It also came with a $4 off coupon of blade refills.

I'm glad it's all for sensitive skin since my skin is super sensitive!

The polish is in out of the blue and I don't have any shades like this.

I've used the razor once and I feel like there are too many blades but I'll continue to try it out!

Bye!
