April Favorits 2014!

Hey there!
I'm going to try to right this post fairly quickly since I'm in a bit of a rush, so if there's a few mistakes or it's short, I apologize! I had an amazing April and I'm very thankful for that! Anyways, here's my April favorites of 2014!

First off, beauty!

I started using The Rimmel Stay Matte powder this month and began to love it!

I used this NYX trio and Sally Girl Champagne eyeshadow a ton this month! They were easy neutrals to apply quickly.
I wore the Maybelline master precise felt liner with the L'Oreal voluminous mascara and they were such a great combination. And for lips, I've been loving the Nivea lip smoothie in acai & wild apple.

I found myself using these Kirkland makeup wipes so often and they work great.
The live clean clarifying shampoo was amazing at removing any residue in my hair!

I wore Passion Struck from Victoria's secret so much! It was and early Birthday gift from a friend and I've been wearing it ever since.

Lastly a few random favorites.
I was obsessed with "The Fault In Our Stars" this month. This was an amazing book and I can't wait for the movie!
Russel Stevens chocolates and Maple Ice Mints were my loves this month, and of course, I had to include my scrunchie from UO!
That's all, bye!

April Empties! ~ 2014

Hey!
I'm back with another empties post today! I've been collecting since the start of April and I've collected quite a lot within just 1 month. Without further a due, lets get started!

First of all, I finishes a few hair products. I finished the TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Shampoo. it wasn't anything special, but it lathered really well and I enjoyed it while it lasted!
I finished another Dove Dry Shampoo. This is my all time favorite dry shampoo and I will continue to repurchase!
I finished 3 eva nyc products and I actually have a full review on them!

I also finished a few body-ish products. I tired the Dove pomegranate body wash and did not like it. It was fairly moisturizing but the scent was pretty awful (to me at least)!
I finished 2 Be Delectable mini body washes (coconut & vanilla) and I really enjoyed them.
I also finished up another Dove deodorant which is alright but I think I need to find a better one.
And I finished my favorite toothpaste, Colgate Winterfresh!

Lastly a few makeup products!
I finished 3 packages (2 travel sized) of the Kirkland makeup wipes and I love them!
I also used up the Rocket mascara by Maybelline and it gave a lot of length and volume
And lastly, I finished the ELF brow gel which I love but can't find it in my city :(
That's all of my empties, Bye!

April Collective Haul + What I got for my Birthday 2014! ~ 1 year Blog Anniversary!

Hello Everyone!
I started my blog 1 year ago today! I can't believe I've been blogging for a year! I wasn't really sure what to do for my 1 year post so I thought I'd just keep it simple and post a haul. This will include everything I've bought throughout April, as well as some gifts I received for my Birthday!
Huge hanks to everyone who has read my blog throughout this past year!
Birthday “Haul”:

Starting out with gifts I received from friends and family for my birthday. I'd just like to say I am extremely thankful for anyone who wished me Happy Birthday and gave me a card or gift. I didn't expect to be spoiled this much, and I am so thankful to have such great family and friends!
I am also jot trying to brag in anyway and I hope you can understand that.
Of course I had to start with the makeup & nails portion!
I was absolutely speechless when I opened the NAKED 2 palette. I have been eying this palette for years and now I finally have it! I also received this gorgeous Revlon palette with some great neutrals. I received various beautiful nail polishes, Revlon nail buffers and the Sephora free birthday gift!
Everyone knows me so well, haha!

I received quite a few scented products. I have the Kokeshi Cheery perfume, Benefit "Rita" perfume, and the Victoria's Secret Passion Struck perfume and body butter. Everything smells so divine!

I was given some absolutely gorgeous jewelry! I cannot wait to wear all of this, everything is completely my style! First off, I got a couple of necklaces (left), from some friends which I believe are from Target. I also got a stud set which is perfect. My parents gave me this spectacular initial necklace from an Etsy shop. It is the perfect length and the chain is so dainty!

I got a few clothing items which I'm in love with. The skirt on the left is from Hollister and it fits perfectly! The hoodie is from PINK and the color is amazing! I also got a pair of no-show socks from Steve Madden.

These two items didn't really fit into a specific category so they're just on their own!
I got a new water bottle which I'm super happy about because I really needed one! I also got a curling wand, and I cannot wait to use it. I've never had a curling wand so I'm extremely excited!

A got a few other things that I actually just opened today, since I'm having a family dinner tonight! I was super excited to receive the Physicians Formula blush I had wanted as well as the Q&A d ay journal!

I got some food! I've already actually eaten a pack of sour cherries, haha!

Also received some gift cards which I'm looking forward to using. I've already got my eye on something at Sephora and I just ran out of my old Starbucks gift card. I also am super excited to see some new movies!

That's everythings I got for my Birthday, thank you so much to everyone!
Moving on to what I bought during April!

I got quite a few drugstore items ,which I'm not going to go over everything because that would take forever!

I also got some new hair and body products!

I bought these mini boxes of chocolates around Easter for only $1 at Target. I probably shouldn't have got 5 but don't worry, I've only eaten 1, so far!

A few more drugstore bits! The Apocalips is in Phenomenon.

Kind of an odd, childish purchase but I got these Smackers body mists and they smell so sweet!

I did some shopping at Urban Outfitters. I got this over-sized sweater on clearance for $30 + 30% off. I got a size way too big and it's more like a dress on me, oh well! I also got a scrunchie on sale for $2.99 + 30% off and I'm in love with it!

I got another top at Winners by the brand paper + tee. It's an adorable baby pink crop top with an incredible pattern along the bottom.

The last thing I got, was this beautiful maxi dress from Target. I've never owned a maxi dress but I fell in love with this one. it was on sale for $25!

That's about it! I know this was a super long post, but I hope you enjoyed anyway!
Again, a big thanks to everyone who made my Birthday extra special!
Bye!
xx

My Week in Pictures ~ Weekly Recap: April 20-26

Hello!
I thought I'd try something new again on my blog! I've seen many people do "My week in photos" posts (or something similar) and I thought I'd give it a try. Some days turned out more eventful than others therefore some days have fewer pictures than others. I'm going to play around with the format of these kinds of posts and find what works best, (sorry if it's all over the place). I had to add some photos to collages with some filler pics to make the size more fitting. I hope this will be something I'd like to continue in the future, Enjoy!

SUNDAY ~ APRIL 20:

I completely forgot to take a good photo on Sunday before it was too late! I was super disappointed since I had had a fairly exciting morning. Anyways, Sunday was Easter and I had a few treats! For lunch, We had French toast (which was absolutely delicious!) and some deviled eggs!
Here's just a picture of some mini eggs, I thought they were kind of Easter-y!
Happy (belated?) Easter to all who celebrate! =)

MONDAY ~ APRIL 21:

I went for a walk with a friend since it was such a beautiful day and we walked her dog. I've always wanted a dog and I still do, but I'm pretty sure I'm allergic to some kinds :( I also dug out some makeup products I've neglected lately, and decided to put them to use again! I think this is great to do once in a while so you're not wasting anything. It's almost like shopping your own collection!

I also finished "The Fault In Our Stars" by John Green, on Monday. This is one of my favorite books I've ever read. It is written so well and it's so emotional.

TUESDAY ~ APRIL 22:

I went out with my Mum for a bit on Tuesday. We did a bit of shopping and we picked up a couple of iced coffees (and possibly and a cheeseburger...) from McDonald's! I got the Vanilla flavor and it was delicious (only $1 too!)

Sorry for the quality of this photo. I took it with my phone and it had a little trouble focusing, haha. This was my outfit of the day for Tuesday; I word a deep plum sweater with some shimmery threads in it from American Eagle, as well as some dark wash jeggings from American Eagle as well! It was super comfy, and I thought it looked pretty cute!

I also tried a new mascara from my Lash Sampler I received for Christmas. I'm still making my way through and I have 1 mascara left after this! I can't wait to post about them all!

WEDNESDAY ~ APRIL 23:

I slept past my alarm and woke up a bit later than I anticipated so I had to do a 5 minute makeup look. It actually took me about 10 minutes but it still cut my usual time in half!

It rained all day on Wednesday. It was a nice change from snow and it's been great for the grass!

I had a delicious dinner on Wednesday, Beef Stroganoff made by my Mum which I completely forgot to photograph!

THURSDAY ~ APRIL 24:

I painted my nails this gorgeous orange toned red from Covergirl glosstinis! It was odd painting the on a Thursday since I almost always paint them on Sunday. As you can see I did and awful job! The polish went ALL over my cuticles, I don't know what was wrong with me, haha!

I made myself a delicious breakfast sandwich for dinner; who says you can't have breakfast for dinner! I have to say, it was pretty amazing! ;)

I fixed up my nails a bit and they're looking a bit better. This was only 1 coat and I'm digging the color!

FRIDAY ~ APRIL 25 (MY BIRTHDAY!):

Friday was my Birthday! I decided to create a sundae bar. I gathered a ton of inspiration from Pinterest and added my own twist to it. I put a ton of different candies in little jam jars and assembled them with other topping on a serving tray! It was super cute and colorful! I took these pics when the tray wasn't quite complete so I added a few things such as fruit, strawberry sauce and whipped cream of course!

A few miscellaneous photos from Friday, pretty much summing up my day, haha!
I'd just like to say an amazing Birthday and thanks to anyone who contributed! :)

SATURDAY ~ APRIL 26:

Not much happened today, I was extremely exhausted and tired so I hung around the house for most of the day. I popped into the mall and picked up my Birthday gift from Sephora. I also picked up this POM Tea at Target and it was delicious!
I didn't get any other photos today.

That was my week in pictures! I actually had a pretty great week and I hope you enjoyed peeking into my life!
Bye!

Gosh Treat Me!: Hair Treatment ~ Review!

Hey there!
I recently picked up this hair mask on the clearance rack at Shoppers Drug Mart. I was desperately in need of a new mask and this was calling my name! It was only $2. I searched online, and I believe Gosh is a UK company. I could not find the full retail price. I always forget to look at the clearance rack at Shopper's but when I do I find great deals!
On with the review!

I feel like I prefer other hair masks I've tried in the past but I can't quite figure out why.
It's just not as moisturizing as I expected. I assumed Gosh was some sort of mid range, almost high-end line so I expected this to be great. It doesn't smell the best but it's not unbearable by any means. It is easily worked into the ends of my hair.
The waiting time is exceptionally long for this particular mask. It says to leave it on for 10 minutes!
When I rinse it out, my hair just doesn't feel that much different. I mean, it's a little bit softer but other masks I've used have given extremely noticeable moisture.
I haven't noticed much changing in the repair spectrum of my hair either.
I don't think I would repurchase, but for the price, I don't really regret buying it.

OVERALL:

Price: 10/10 (Sale price)
Moisture: 5/10
Downside?: Doesn't do anything special
Would I repurchase: No
Would I recommend: No

I hope you found this review helpful, thanks for taking the time to read!
Bye! =)

Top 5 Face Products!

Hello Everyone!
Since I've already posted my Top 5 Eye Products, I thought why not continue and show my Top 5 Face Products!
I think face makeup really ties together the whole makeup look with a flawless complexion. These are my Top 5 "holy grail" face products!

I chose a variety of products from foundation to bronzer!

1: COVERGIRL 3 IN 1 FOUNDATION
My first face essential is the Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 Foundation. This is my current favorite foundation! It blends effortlessly and it has great coverage. It also doesn't make you look super shiny but it's not exactly matte.
$10-$13

2: MAYBELLINE FIT ME CONCEALER
The next thing is the Maybelline Fit Me concealer. This is one of my new found loves and it works great under the eyes. It brightens your under-eyes and blends really easily.
$6-$8

3: BENEFIT WATT'S UP HIGHLIGHTER
I do only have a sample of this, but I still really love the product. It's the perfect shimmery champagne color which adds a gorgeous glow to your face.
$36 (Full size)

4: NYX BLUSH PEACH
The NYX blush in peach is such a universal shade that goes with nearly any makeup look.  It's a bright pink color and it adds a natural-looking flush
$5-$10

5: NYC SUNNY BRONZER
I don't wear bronzer often, but when I do I really like this one. It's matte and it's really easy to blend.

And that's it!
That completes my top 5 face products, I hope you enjoyed!
Bye!
