June Favorites!

So another month has gone by, and tomorrow July begins!
I don't have too many favorites this month  but I have been loving a few things.
I've been using this shampoo and conditioner for quite a while now and I've really been enjoying the results. These are the Garnier Fructis Grapefruit Tonic fortifying shampoo and conditioner.
They leave my hair feeling very soft and refreshed and they have lessened the amount of visible damage in my hair. I would definitely repurchase especially since they're only about $2 or $3.
Next is this lotion I purchased at Sally Beauty supply during Christmas time for only $1. I had it hidden away in a drawer for the longest time, and I've finally come about using it again. I love the scent which isn't surprising since vanilla is my favorite. And this really moisturizes either my hands or body.

I apply hand sanitizer everyday before I put on my makeup and the one I've been using is Fresh picked tangerines from bath and body works. I love these because they don't have the awful smell of regular hand sanitizer. I also feel tangerines smell very summery!
My favorite nail polish of the month is Blue Jeans from urban outfitters. I won't go into too much detail since I have a Mani Monday post on this which you can click HERE to view! I love the color and it's very opaque.
I bought this angled kabuki brush on sale at the body shop. It was normally priced at $30 but it was marked down to $5! I was super excited so of course I bought it. It is so extremely soft and it apply face powders nicely. I normally use it for bronzer. This mascara is the rocket by maybelline and it's time to repurchase it as it's a bit low, but I often wear this a as subtle mascara. It doesn't give too much drama (probably because it's almost finished) and it's a nice look for summer.
Finally, I've been really into eyeliner lately. I recently purchased the Maybelline gel eyeliner and I really like the look of it. It's very easy to control the line. I have also been tight-lining my eyes a lot. if you're not familiar with this it's lining your upper waterline right below your eyelashes. I have been using the elf black eyeliner which has actually been featured in a post called The Perfect Eyeliner if you'd like to check that out.
That's all for today, see you next time!

New drugstore products!

So I was at the drugstore recently, well, not really. I was at Walmart...
I saw many new products so I decided to (awkwardly) take some pictures!
The first display that caught my eye was the new Revlon face illuminators. There are four different shades and the two of the right seemed unique and different to me. I swatched the shade on the far left and it was a shimmery neutral color. I didn't buy any but I may try them in the future. They were $14.96.
Just below, I found a display of the new Maybelline color tattoo pure pigments. That's a mouthful! As far as a know they're simply pigments with similar colors to the color tattoo cream shadows.
Just a little close up. These pigments were the same price as the color tattos which are $6.96.
Sorry for the photo quality, I was a bit rushed.
This isn't super new but it came out recently. This display had the new covergirl mascara, which I did a review on. Click here to view it. It also displayed the new eyeshadows and shadow sticks. I honestly don't know much about the eyeshadow products but I think they're pretty simple and basic.
Below that was a messy, half empty nail polish display. These are similar to the covergirl nail polishes but they're actually minis. They're called glosstinis. I don't remember the exact price as I didn't capture it ni the photo, but they were around $3-$4.
More Covergirl! I found these covergirl whipped cream foundation and they seem to be from the clean collection. I don't know the price of these sorry about that.
The last new product display I found was for Revlon lip products. There were a variety of lipsticks and lip glosses in many colors. The purple lip gloss defiantly caught my eye.

That is all of the new products I found at Walmart. I don;t have much to say about each on as I hadn't tried most of them. I just wanted to share some pictures of the new products!

New York Palette

Hello everyone!
I thought I would post once more before my busy week (which starts tomorrow).
I most likely wont have a Mani Monday up tomorrow because I didn't have time to paint my nails today.
I should be able to upload by Friday at the latest!
Today I was thinking about my City Colors New York palette/book and I thought I would create a post on it. I received this as a Christmas gift and the bright colors intimidated me a bit, but after I played around with it a bit I grew to love it. The colors are super pigmented and there is a beautiful variety.
There are 15 eyeshadows as well as 3 blushes. There are 4 slightly neutral colors and the rest are fairly bold. The blues look beautiful under the eye as a pop of color and the purples look pretty when blended into the crease. There are so many possibilities with this palette. the blushes are also very nice. they give you a subtle flushed look.
If I were to "rate" this palette I would probably give it a 7.5/10. The packaging is too cute as well!
See you next time!

New Covergirl Flamed Out Mascara!

I recently picked up the new covergirl flamed out mascara in very black blaze. It was $6.99 at Target I believe. I had been wanted to try it for a while, and I had heard many good things about it. I had seen the brush and it looked very interesting. The packaging is cute colors, but the tube is an awkward size.
The first few times I applied the mascara, it took many coats to build up and look full. But as I used the mascara more often, it became quicker. I think this is because more mascara built up on the brush over time. The curve of the wand gives my lashes a nice, natural curl without even curling my lashes. The mascara removed with ease.
That's all for today! I may not post as often this upcoming week, as I'm going to be quite busy. I hope you understand.

ST.Ives Apricot Scrub

I few weeks ago I picked up this ST.Ives apricot scrub  for target for around $3. I just got the regular exfoliating scrub since I don't have man skin problems. I have mixed feelings on the products. It leaves my skin feeling smooth and exfoliated, but the product itself is too gritty and thick. The tiny paces of seashell I believe aren't so tiny. They're much larger than the last face scrub I used which was Queen Helene. The scent is nice but I wouldn't miss it. All around I would buy the Queen Helene scrub over this but this would come a close second.

Mani Monday: In the Cab-ana

So today I have another Mani Monday!
I painted my nails a color I've been wanting to use for a while. In the Cab-ana by Essie. I featured this in a blog post a couple of months ago actually. This color was surprisingly opaque (unlike most Essie colors). I only did one coat (with base coat and top coat) and I think it came out nicely. I would definitely re-paint my nails with this and it's perfect for summer.

Get soft hair with one product! (Marc Anthony Argan Oil)

Hello everyone!
I've come a across a product that I love! It makes my hair soft and shiny without feeling or looking greasy. I've tried many other hair products and none of them work as well as the Marc Anthony oil of morocco argan oil treatment.
I found this in set at Costco including the oil, a huge bottle of  Marc Anthony shampoo, and a bottle of conditioner. I don't actually remember the price. This product is infused with keratin which fills and mends damaged parts of hair. This oil makes my hair so soft to the touch. It can be applied to wet or dry hair and I usually just finger comb it through. It also gives hair a natural looking shine that doesn't appear greasy. I believe you can buy this at ulta (on its own) for under $10. I am very picky when it comes to products and I was pleasantly surprised with this one. I will definitely repurchase when I run out.

Mani Monday

I haven't done a Mani Monday in a long time! I few weeks back, I bought some nail polish from urban outfitters (2/$8). I painted my nails with a base coat and a top coat to protect my nails and a shine. I really like how this polish applied. It was very opaque and a creamy formula. The color is very glossy, even without the top coat and at first it looked a bit like gel nail polish.
The beautiful blue-purple tone of this polish is stunning and I would definitely re-paint my nails with this. The name of this polish is Blue Jeans.

How long is too long?

Hey everyone!
Today's post is about how long you should keep your makeup. I'm definitely guilty of not throwing out makeup. I don't like throwing out unused things even if I should. This year I have been trying to use products up before they go bad! This also involves not buying at much makeup. I took a few pictures to go with this post because I figured they could jazz it up a bit, but my camera isn't focusing very well. Sorry about the quality, I'll try to get it up by next post!

Also remember that if your makeup looks, smells or feels weird, it's probably best just to throw it out!
And of course if anything is dried up toss it because it's useless...Unless you can find a use for it.

May Favorites!

I cannot believe it's already June! May flew by and it's time for favorites.
I don't have too, too many favorites but I bought quite a few things last month that I've grown to love.
I've been using this lots recently and it gives a nice, light coverage. very blendable and perfect for sumemr
This lip butter is to die fore! It smells amazing and it's super moisturizing. The sun beam highlighter gives a nice glow to a matte face.
This has been my favorite lip combination this month. It's a really soft pink and I love the shine.
I love wearing this under my eyes as an eyeliner. It gives the perfect pop of color to a nude eye look.
Favorite crease color" nyx's tropical. It gives a soft blended look to your eyes. And I really love the way this mascara makes my eyelashes look.
Favorite blush, Nyx peach. Not much to say about this.

This has been my favorite scent of the month. Bath and body works honey sweetheart really is super sweet and flirty.
And my 2 favorite nail polishes: first timer and under where?
That's all for my may favorites, xx
